Hire Terms & Conditions

1. Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days from date of issue and subject to availability.
Quantities are approximate and can vary once installation is completed.
Quoted price includes supply, one install and one dismantle for the hire term on your quote, unless otherwise noted.
Price quoted is for all work to be carried out during TFH’s normal working hours (unless stated otherwise).
Prices are per unit of measure: mesh panels are priced per panel, not per metre.

Accepting your quote, online from your quote link or by signing and returning it, confirms that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by our Quotation Notes, Quote Conditions and these Hire Terms and Conditions.

2. Invoices and Payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST, which is added to each invoice.
The hire is invoiced as set out on your quote: the committed term at the start of the hire, or each billing period in advance.
Account customers pay on their agreed account terms. Everyone else pays before delivery or collection, by card from the invoice link or by direct deposit. Additional charges may apply if not paid within those terms.
After the committed term the hire continues on the daily re-hire rate, invoiced monthly, until it is off-hired. The re-hire rate per item is shown on your quote.

3. Damage Waiver: Mesh Infill Products

A Damage Waiver fee of 10% (plus GST) of the hire charge applies to all hire products with mesh infill. The Damage Waiver reduces the Hirer’s liability for accidental damage to the mesh infill occurring during the hire period. The Damage Waiver does not cover loss, theft, wilful or malicious damage, negligence, misuse, damage caused by vehicles or machinery, or damage arising from use contrary to TFH Hire Services’ instructions. Any damage not covered by the Damage Waiver will be charged to the Hirer at TFH Hire Services’ current repair or replacement rates. The Damage Waiver fee is non-refundable.

4. Extending or Ending Your Hire

As you approach the end of your hire period, should you wish to extend the hire you need to contact our office no less than 7 days before the end of the Hire Term to negotiate a further extended hire period.

You must contact us to request the collection of our products. If products remain on site after the Hire Term ends, the hire continues on the daily re-hire rate, invoiced monthly, until it is off-hired.

If the hire ends before the committed term ends, the early termination terms on your quote apply.

5. Additional Charges

Charges will apply to relocate or restand fence, or for other additional labour. Extra charges will apply outside normal business hours.
All additional call outs or servicing may incur a labour and transport charge (please contact your TFH branch).

6. Wind Loading and Site Conditions

The rates quoted are based on one installation and one dismantle (unless otherwise noted) of the Equipment to meet the requirements of AS 4687-2007 for the applicable general wind region for the Hirer’s site. The Company reserves the right to amend its quote and charge the Hirer for any additional materials and labour required to supply and install the Equipment to comply with the specific wind rating of the Hirer’s site (if different to the general wind region rating), or to rectify and reinstall Equipment due to unforeseen or isolated conditions outside the range of wind loadings for that region.
Shadecloth, banners or additional signage attached to fence panels create wind loading and therefore require extra bracing for stability.
In areas of high pedestrian movement we recommend the use of handrails to help prevent tripping.

7. Care of the Equipment

The customer is responsible for the cost of any repairs and/or cleaning. Goods must be returned in a condition at least equal to when they were despatched from TFH’s depot, fair wear and tear excepted.
Graffiti, paint splatter or concrete splatter may incur additional cleaning fees.
If the Products are damaged, missing or otherwise not returned to TFH Hire Services at the end of the hire period, the Client must pay the cost of replacement or repair of the Products.

8. Site Access

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the site, and any of our products, are accessible at all times, including for delivery, servicing and pick up.

9. Insurance and Compliance

TFH Hire Services has Public Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance, and is compliant with the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry.
All temporary fencing and hoardings are compliant with AS 4687-2007.

10. These Terms Apply

The ‘Terms and Conditions of Hire/Hire Agreement’ referred to herein shall apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions which may purport to be imposed or imported by the Hirer/Customer in any Purchase Order, Order Confirmation or any other documentation provided by the Hirer/Customer, unless such additional terms have been expressly agreed to in writing by the Supplier/Owner.
